We researched breeders extensively online and felt confident that Carey was a person of integrity and experience. The process was smooth, including delivery by Dana Smith. Carey was very easy to talk to, and patiently answered questions from a young couple.

This handsome dog fits in perfectly to their household. Truly, he wants to befriend everyone he meets. He easily adapts to any situation, shows compassion toward the injured, eats like a champ,and never tires of playing fetch… too many endearing qualities to mention.

For Christmas, we sent them a DNA test kit. His results were entirely full-bred English Cocker with no genetic abnormality.

Our family has bred dogs, purchased from breeders, and adopted from rescues. Carey’s pup is among the highest quality. To say they are pleased with their dog from Carey is an understatement. Highly recommend.

Mr. Knowles: Here is a current picture of Dixie that I got from you. She is a champ. The Boykin is truly a loyal family dog and a magnificent hunter. She will be in top form come dove and duck season. Dixie is a little smaller than the norm. I am very thankful for my girl. She even sleeps with me. Her only flaw is her depression when I am not around. In the picture, she is waiting in my chair til I come home. Love this dog.

I would love to tell you about Stella our Boykin…the whole experience from meeting Carey to when we picked her up at the airport has been GREAT! Carey is just fantastic to deal with and very professional. We already had a German wirehair and a cat and then came along Stella. It has been a whirlwind. They are very high energy…..so loveable…never stop talking….love to steal socks and whatever else they can get their paws on. I would not change a thing!!! We live on a farm in Maine so that is very helpful because they need to run…Have you had a dog before?? They do take up a fair amount of time but it has all been worth it.

My wife and I had a Chocolate Lab for 12 years, and after having to put him down my wife said she would like a smaller breed. I had heard of the Boykin breed from a friend and decided that would suit us well. After searching the internet I got a hold of Mr. Knowles, and shortly after talking with him I knew he was the one I would like to deal with.

I can’t say enough about my dog “Nita.” She absolutely loves my family, is a great retriever, and loves to please. She is a great hunter and learns very fast. Without a doubt a great choice for pet or hunting.
